Best Reviewer Award for Jan-Philipp Ahrens


Jan-Philipp Ahrens, junior faculty and assistant professor in the Area Management, received a best reviewer award of the journal Junior Management Science. The award was given out by nomination of the journal's editors Prof. Friedl (Dean of TUM School of Management, TU Munich) and Prof. van Aaken (University of Salzburg) for supporting the journal in the areas of controlling and family business management in outstanding quality.

The award ceremony was part of the annual conference of Junior Management Science Journal, which took place during the 22th and 23th of March in Hamburg which centered around topics of openess of science and its internationalization. Last year’s conference keynote was held by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Alfred Kieser (University of Mannheim). Junior Management Science is an initiative supported by over 30 universitites from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as the VHB (Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft e.V). The VHB executive board states: „Wir befürworten nachdrücklich die Mission von JUMS, frühzeitiges Interesse an wissenschaftlichem Arbeiten zu fördern.“
