Freigeist.com is the VC firm of Frank Thelen, Marc Sieberger and Alex Koch. The team is best known for their seed investments in kaufDA, mytaxi and Wunderlist. Their more recent investments include Lilium.com (air mobility), Neufund.org (investing via blockchain) and Kraftblock.com (energy storage). Freigeist Capital was the first investor in Lilium. In 2017, Marc became Interim CFO for a $90 Million Series B, which brought total funding to over $100 Million.
The Freigeist team believes that technological innovation is the key to improving the quality and ecological sustainability of our individual lives and society as a whole. The team made it their mission to discover, finance and actively support outstanding founders on their path.

At the upcoming Founder Talk, Marc shares his insights into founding, investing and building innovative, technology driven startup companies.

Before becoming an investor, Marc has built and run operations as well as financial- and legal organizations in several companies. He led over fifty financing- and M&A transactions across multiple geographies. Marc studied at WHU and graduated with a double degree as Dipl. Kfm. and MBA with distinction. He now works with the portfolio companies of Freigeist on HR, operations, finance, marketing and fundraising.
