Vorlesung "International Entrepreneurship Research & Practice (IERP)"


In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Lehrstuhl "Internationales Management" bietet der Lehrstuhl für "Mittelstandsforschung und Entrepreneurship" im Herbstsemester 2007 die Vorlesung "International Entrepreneurship Research and Practice (IERP)" an der Universität Mannheim an.
Ziel dieser Vorlesung ist es, einen international vergleichenden Überblick zu Theorien und empirischen Arbeiten über individuelle und institutionelle Determinanten von Unternehmensgründungen sowie das unternehmerische Handeln und Wachstum von etablierten Unternehmen zu geben. Ebenso wird die volkswirtschaftliche Bedeutung von Kleinen und Mittleren Unternehmen (KMU) in internationaler Perspektive dargestellt.
Die Veranstaltung wird auf Englisch gehalten und richtet sich an die Studenten im Hauptstudium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre.

  • Women’s Participation in Self-Employment in Western Industrialized Nations
  • Necessity and Opportunity-Based Entrepreneurship: A Cross-National Comparison between Developed, Transition and Developing Countries
  • Financing Entrepreneurial Ventures
  • Growth and Exit Determinants of Newly Founded Businesses
  • Internationalization Strategies of High Tech Start-Ups
  • Institutional Contexts for Entrepreneurship: Economic, Political and Socio-Cultural Environments for Entrepreneurship
  • Productive, Unproductive and Destructive Forms of Entrepreneurship
  • Corruption and Entrepreneurship: How Formal and Informal Institutions Shape Small Firm Behavior in Mature and Emerging Market Economies
