Marc Kowalzick is a PhD student at the Chair of SME Research and Entrepreneurship at the University of Mannheim, where he also obtained his master’s degree, scoring in the best decile of his cohort. He is part of the family firm research division at the Institute of SME Research.
His research interests include the management of corporate turnarounds, the role of CEOs, as well as performance analyses.
His first working paper was presented at the 2018 Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Chicago, USA, and at the 2018 European Academy of Management Annual Conference in Reykjavik, Iceland, where it received a Best Paper Award in the Strategic Management Division.
