Lilith Burgstaller studierte an der Universität Augsburg und der Universidad de
Valladolid in Spanien Volkswirtschaftslehre im Bachelor. Im Anschluss absolvierte
sie ein Masterstudium in Public und Non-Profit Management an der Albert-Ludwigs-
Universität Freiburg im Breisgau. Während ihres Studiums sammelte sie
Erfahrungen in Praktika und als Werkstudentin bei der Bayerischen Landesbank,
einem Münchner Logistik Start-Up, einer Katastrophenhilfe-Organisation sowie dem
Walter Eucken Institut in Freiburg. Dort verfasste sie auch ihre Masterarbeit zu
Steuerhinterziehung unter Selbstständigen.
Seit September 2020 ist Lilith Burgstaller Projektmitarbeiterin im Projekt “Aspiring
migrant entrepreneurs in Germany – Potentials and Pitfalls in the start-up process”
im Bereich “Arbeitsmarkt und Selbständigkeit” am Institut für Mittelstandsforschung
und am Mannheimer Zentrum für Europäische Sozialforschung (MZES).
Lilith Burgstaller studied Economics at University of Augsburg and Universidad de
Valladolid in Spain. She did her Master’s in Public and Non-Profit Management at
Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg im Breisgau. During her studies, she obtained
professional experience in internships and as a working student at Bayerische
Landesbank, a Munich-based logistics start-up, a disaster relief organisation as well
as at Walter Eucken Institute in Freiburg. Here, she also wrote her master thesis on
tax evasion by the self-employed.
Since September 2020 she is a member of the project team working on the project
“Aspiring migrant entrepreneurs in Germany – Potentials and Pitfalls in the start-up
process” at the “Labor market and self-employment” division at the ifm and the
Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES).
