Kian Farahza


Kian Farahza graduated with a B.Sc. in Business Economics at the National University of Iran, Tehran, in 2019. He began his journey in the entrepreneurial environment as an intern consultant in an agricultural social business in 2017. For the next five years, he kept in touch with Iranian startups. Meanwhile, he worked as a teaching/research assistant in his alma mater and engaged in a study on the economics of the social sector. Becoming interested in social entrepreneurship and sustainable business, he decided to pursue an M.Sc. program in Financial Economics at the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. He followed quantitative methods in economics and finance and wrote his thesis on “Screening and Signalling in Nonprofit Organizations” in 2021-2. He was admitted to the University of Mannheim as a master’s student for the winter semester of 2022 and joined Institut für Mittelstandsforschung in October 2022.
