Entrepreneure und Teams


Mehr als vier Millionen Menschen sind in Deutschland in der beruflichen Selbständigkeit tätig. Die Motive, Charakteristika und Rahmenbedingungen variieren von Person zu Person dabei ebenso sehr, wie deren Verortung und Ausgestaltung der selbständigen Tätigkeit. Im Zentrum des Kompetenzfelds „Entrepreneure und Teams“ steht daher einerseits die Untersuchung individueller und mikrosozialer Faktoren, die sich auf die unternehmerischen Intentionen sowie den unternehmerischen Erfolg von Individuen und Gründungsteams auswirken. Andererseits interessieren speziell auch Dynamiken innerhalb von Teams und privat-beruflichen Netzwerken und deren Effekte auf Innovationen, ökonomischen Erfolg und die Nachhaltigkeit von Gründungsprojekten. 
Entrepreneure und Teams ifm Mannheim
 
Die Untersuchung von Hintergründen, Charakteristika, Strategien und Verhaltensweisen von Entrepreneuren, sprich von unternehmerisch denkenden und handelnden Menschen, steht im Vordergrund des Kompetenzfeldes „Entrepreneure und Teams“. Dabei wird der Blick auf der einen Seite auf die Person des Gründers bzw. der Gründerin selbst gerichtet. Auf der anderen Seite wird der Entrepreneur in der Interaktion im Gründungsteam und mit dessen mikrosozialen Netzwerk einer näheren Analyse unterzogen. Im Forschungsfokus können dabei spezifische Gruppen von Entrepreneuren (z.B. Female Entrepreneurship) oder dezidierte Branchen (z.B. Technology Entrepreneurship) stehen. Hier wird der Blick sowohl auf die Ausstattung des Einzelnen mit Ressourcen wie Bildung, Erfahrung oder materiellem Kapital als auch auf Persönlichkeitsfaktoren gerichtet. Ebenso wird am ifm Mannheim erforscht, inwiefern sich individuelle und teambezogene Verhaltensaspekte und Rahmenbedingungen auf den unternehmerischen Erfolg und die Widerstandsfähigkeit in Zeiten der Krise (Resilienz) auswirken. Speziell auch Risikobranchen und hochdynamische Umwelten sind hierbei von Interesse.
Die Erforschung von Entrepreneurship aus der Mikroperspektive zeichnet sich zumeist durch eine interdisziplinäre Forschungsagenda aus. Neben ökonomischen und sozialwissenschaftlichen Ansätzen kommen dabei auch Konzepte aus der Managementlehre sowie Theorien aus der Psychologie und der sozialen Ökologie zum Einsatz. Gleichermaßen variiert auch je nach Zielsetzung die Wahl der Forschungsmethodik: von großzahligen quantitativen Analysen über Experimentaldesigns bis hin zu detaillierten und facettenreichen Fallstudien. Gerade um der Komplexität individueller Verhaltensweisen  und teambezogener Dynamiken gerecht zu werden, werden am ifm Mannheim multiple Methoden miteinander kombiniert (Mixed-Methods-Research).

Overall, the course was rated 1,2 and was held by Assistant Prof. Dr. Ahrens and Dr. Iuliia Shkrabaliuk (lecturers rated 1,0), while the STATA-tutorial was given by Baris Istipliler and Marc Kowalzick (both PhD students). Under the title "Responsibility across Generations" Lemberg Catholic University hosted an international conference on the responsibility of family businesses for society – e.g. sustainability, responsible consumption, charity, social responsibility – as well as responsibilities of family companies for themselves – e.g. family constitutions, stakeholder agreements, succession planinng, and social capital nuturing.
